audre
Hi all Another tax question: how does an Australian citizen who lived and worked in the UK for a couple of years, but is now back in Oz (with an Aussie address) claim their tax back? Are we looking at a long international phone call to the tax office? Anyone else done it? Thanks so much!
MARYROSE02
Trying registering on line at the HMRC website. Without a UK bank account, I guess they will just post a cheque to you, but even if you had a UK account, you'd have to transfer the money to OZ. Bridgeman
You may have to fill in a self assessment form for the relevant tax years.
Peach
Why do you think you are due a refund of tax?
starlight7
I haven't worked or lived in the UK for 40 odd years and only worked a couple of years when I did live there and lo and behold they tell me they owe me a couple of grand back pension. Wow! I love them . So it is worth a try!!
