dsdrussell
I'm moving to Australia in January subject to my 457 being approved. Planning on shipping over very little, as I have no furniture and will be moving alone. The only thing I want to ship over is my road bike - does anyone have any advice of the best way to do this? Quoll
Coming in the opposite direction my son popped his in a bike box and sent it unaccompanied baggage but if you've got enough allowance pop it in a bike box and use your checked luggage allowance. I've seen bike boxes come off planes before now.
joeperth
I did that, but just in one of the plastic bike bags. Came through fine and the airline didn't even count it as part of my allowance.
rammygirl
Second that, check with the airline but Singapore certainly allowed in extra to our baggage for free. Pack it properly though.
dsdrussell
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll wait and see which airline I get booked by my new company once my visa is confirmed
