My husband and i were thinking of moving to Brisbane early next year. I was wondering if this was the right move to make. Does anybody have any pro's or con's to Adelaide and Brisbane? Well having family nearby certainly helps with the settling-in part, and work opportunities would be greater in Brisbane / SEQ area. I have worked in Adelaide a few times and was tempted once to get a transfer with work. We liked Adelaide very much but I also saw the limitations of living and working there compared with Brisbane area. We have been here 15yrs now and no regrets. I was born and bred at the Headingly end of Burley/Kirkstall area, my wife Linda comes from the West Country, where we lived for 12 years prior to Oz.
