Lemon ginger
Hi people ) Im currently on 457 and got a job offer from another company. They have lodged the 186 direct entry for me on 11aug and i thought the bridging visa will replace the 457 (stupid me). So i told them i can start working on 20th aug (already on the contract) However last friday i found out they have to put in a 457nomination to take over my current employer ;((. I think they did it yesterday. anyone know how long its gonna take???? Im very worried they might decided not to wait. I m from low risk country and in health sector. please help! MaggieMay24
Given the fees they've just paid for your immigration, I'd hope that shows they'll wait for the paperwork to be processed. You can't work for them until either the 457 nomination or the 186 is approved. If they've already been approved as a sponsor and have submitted the 457 nomination transfer, hopefully they have enough knowledge of the immigration system to know this. From what I've read, nomination transfers take a few weeks.

MaggieMay24
No, DIBP doesn't typically give refunds.
