Oz dreamer
Hi, can't seem to find any related info my medical got referred in May due to high blood pressure I was made wear a monitor for 24hrs and was told it was ok and nerves played a big part. Question is does any know how long does it take global health to process the results. Thanks
CollegeGirl
Shouldn't take too long. My understanding is it's just a few weeks (or less) these days. Hopefully someone else will chime in if they know differently, as I haven't seen a lot of posts about referred medicals recently.

misstatt
Hi hope it goes ok for you. How did you find out about the referral, did the immi case officer contact you or was it the place where you had your medicals done, and how long after your medicals did they inform you it was referred? Thanks
Oz dreamer
Hi yes the clinic let me know and they sent me for further tests to another clinic which were all uploaded to my immi account. Then co emailed a week later stating that medicals were referred to the MOC. I was given no timeframe and the waiting is torture !
misstatt
The waiting is just unbearable isn't it!! We had our medicals two weeks ago and haven't heard anything so far which we're surprised about as both have long term conditions. Fingers crossed we'll hear something soon, had enough of waking early to check my emails!!

stevie129
I feel your pain. Back when we did our medicals I had to wait 3 months for my medical to be assessed by the MOC... Absolute nightmare and the stress involved with it. Hopefully your results will soon come through

Guest
It was a 3 month wait for me too. I'd not worry about it overly. Sounds like everything was ok with further tests. They will let you know if there is anything further they want. You may not hear anything on the medical even if it's passed as all in order. Mine was referred even with an A rating and at the time it took about 3 months to land on someone's desk to rubber stamp it. Got my visa a couple of weeks after the 3 month timeframe. Never heard anything on the medical and didn't worry about it as knew it was in order and would be fine when someone looked at it.
stevie129
Cheers stevie, hopefully any day now we'll get some news. Three months must have being torture Unfortunately the torture really only began for me once I received a natural justice from my co stating that the MOC had the opinion that I didn't meet the health requirements which I knew was bull sh*t. The assessment was completely inaccurate. So gathered more evidence from my specialist to prove that the assessment was inaccurate and i emailed it to the chief medical officer for him to review it. Got my visa granted few days later.
misstatt
Had first email from case officer to say that our medicals have been referred, relieved to have some contact but now worried. Does anyone know how long it's taking for MOC review at the moment please?

Does anyone know how long it's taking for MOC review at the moment please? We're waiting too - hubby had his medical on 30th March 2014 then the following week we had an email from our CO saying it'd been referred. We haven't heard anything since then. Hopefully no news is good news. At least that's what we're telling ourselves :-)

CollegeGirl
For what it's worth, I was never notified that my medical was referred NOR when it cleared through the MOC. I only found out it was referred by calling my panel doctor myself. I only found out it was approved by the MOC after MONTHS of anxious waiting had elapsed and I called the embassy. Oz dreamer
Hi guys we got the grant today for visa 189 we're over the moon. All the stress is over it took seven weeks for referred medicals to be cleared which isn't too bad. It still hasn't sunk in, it's being a long process
Wozziegirl
Sorry didn't see that info on your signature earlier as was on my phone. I hope you hear something back soon, especially as it's heading towards 4 months since the medical!! No problem. :-) Back when we first found out about it being referred we were pretty freaked out. The Medical place had said everything was fine so we knew there was nothing physically wrong, but it's still something that *could* hold up or stop the visa being issued. It's not a nice feeling at all. We've been going with the 'no news is good news' and having just seen Oz dreamer's post about their referral taking 7 weeks to clear, well hopefully that time scale applies to the spouse visa as well :-)
Swamps
I'm in the same situation, my Wife's medical was referred but still waiting to hear back on the outcome.. hate the waiting game Medicals were submitted on 11th June so it's been over a month now. misstatt
The case officer said that the medicals had been referred so we're assuming that it's both mine and my partner's. Do you know if they get referred to the MOC as soon as they're uploaded by the clinic and it's noted at immi that it's needed? We had the medicals in June and are hoping that they were sent then rather than this week when a case officer happened to check our application.
