starlight7
We are on holiday slowly travelling up the Queensland coast and how lovely it is. Just now we are at Hervey Bay. I wonder if we'd known about places like this years ago we might have brought our family to settle up here? Neve would move now, too many ties down in Melbourne but for those thinking about emigrating- worth a look for sure!
Bobj
An ideal place for retirees. And whale watchers...:cute: Cheers, Bobj.
libbysmum
Totally agree, we moved here after an unsuccessful start south of Adelaide followed by a 6 month tour of the east coast. We found ourselves our little gem. A retirees area? Yes, but that's not to say its not family friendly, far from it. There are plenty of families here. To put it in perspective my daughters primary in the uk had around 300 kids, her school here 1100, and its one of about 5 state primary's, 2 state high schools and at least 3 or 4 private schools. Definitely no shortage of kids!
calNgary
We found it a lovely area for holidays but too far from major cities and not enough work for hubby to make a move there. I agree its a lovely place and would be ideal for those who can source employment nearby. Cal x
