Guest nastasia
hello, after 4 years of staying in australia as a PR, one can apply for citizenship. Actually how much time does the citizenship application take to process? can someone leave australia for say 10years and come back afterwards? will there be any issues when staying away from australia for a long time? Of course you can leave outside Australia as much as you want after getting citizenship, there won't be any issues. Thanks
VERYSTORMY
The process takes about 3 months with the biggest wait being the wait for your council to hold the ceremony and this varies as a result. There are rules about being out of australia. You must not have been out of Australia for no more than 1 year in total in the 4 years prior to application and no more than 90 days in the 12 months prior to application.
