To use a migration agent or not???

My partner and I are going it alone. No probs so far we can't afford £5000 for an agent. But we both have medical issues and it's heart breaking to think we have to spend £3800 for visas plus £1000 for both Medicals to possibly be refused. Am I right in thinking there is absolutely no way I can get any idea of medical yes or no before applying for the VISA?

thanks

Agent fees are likely to be half that.

Specialist agents such as George Lombard can assess how things are likely to pan out prior to applying.

From an email I received yesterday:

Dear Westly

XXX went to Cairo yesterday and had his medical examination, x-ray and blood test. As you advised, the hospital didn't need the forms and has sent the results to DIBP electronically.

XXX met another man there who is also applying for a spouse visa to Australia. He started the process 5 months ago and couldn't believe that it had only been about a month for XXX. So we definitely have you to thank for managing this so well for us!

and in respect of a recent case where I advocated for the primary applicant who had ‘failed the medical’ and stood to be refused visas for himself and three family members:

Dear (case officer)

We have attached the receipts for the recent medical examinations undertaken by all the visa applicants.

The PA previously lodged a completed 815 and undertook a further pro forma medical examination so he has a current medical report in place.

Best regards

Westly Russell
