Ms Taurus
I am a seasoned conference and events specialist with strong HR/L&D background, hoping to relocate to Australia. Any one here know of any agencies that specialise in 457 visa jobs? I am also a professionally trained bilingual counsellor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Rupert
No and I doubt you will find such a thing to be honest. Companies are not supposed to be actively recruiting candidates from overseas, they should be trying to recruit Australians in the first instance. They would have to prove they tried to recruit citizens before sponsoring anyway, so registering with some "agent specialising in 457 sponsorship" would be rather detrimental. You have to do this the hard way.
Joebloggs
My wife is a events manager for one of the large conference companies (although on maternity leave), due to the high $AUD the international business has been declining over the last 4 years so there's much more competition for jobs etc which would require Australian experience. As Rupert says the is more of an emphasis on employing Australians these days and the increased costs to employers & tightening rules and recent statistics show 457 are down about 40% compared to last year. Que Sera Sera
I think from another thread that the OP has a criminal conviction that hasn't been declared on previous visits to Australia, so I reckon you should speak to a good regustered agent before making any application.
