mpatel1972 Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a new build in Perth. I know as a foreign investor, I need to gain approval from FIRB. I've read that some developers on some of the house+land packages, gain FIRB approval in advance for potential foreign investors. Does anyone know of any developers or any new house+land packages that already have FIRB approval? I've used the realestate website but haven't yet found anything. rammygirl Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 I don't know about developers but we bought a house in SA as a non visa holder. fIRB was applied for on line it was easy and free at the time, not sure if it still is. we made sure our offer on a plot was conditional upon us getting the approval. You have to apply for a specific house or plot so can't apply in advance, but if you meet the criteria it is straightforward and didn't take long.
