ItchyFeet76 Posted February 11, 2014 Share Posted February 11, 2014 Hi there, Feeling nosey about what occupations people are getting sponsored on, so thought I'd ask if people wouldn't mind sharing theirs? Also, if they're being sponsored by a new Aussie employer or are lucky enough to be getting an intra-company transfer. Shall I start? OH is an IT Security Consultant / Penetration Tester (layman's terms: computer hacker). Hoping for an intra-company transfer as his employer already has a presence in Sydney and is apparently looking to expand to Melbourne. We have just decided we are going to apply for Oz, my husband does IT security for bank and so we are thinking of going for 189 visa. You're lucky you can meet the points threshold to go down the 189 route - we can't :-( Hence why we're hoping for either an intra-company transfer or sponsorship.
