Erm sorry but in the uk ALL income is taxable full stop weather gift or not it "should" be declared and taxed accordingly in most if not all cases it is not but all income is taxable

There's so much to do here too that don't cost an arm and a leg. I have a very different story of the uk as although my parents are well off both have had there hours cut and the same for my brother all living in SE Kent. Friends are out of work and struggling and many shops and local businesses have closed down. Those that have work are pulling long hours over seven days just to make ends meat.

You would think it is that easy in some cases it is not I'm afraid. You will need at least a copy of the visa grant letter. Even then you may still have difficulty. They just can not seem to grasp the electronically attached to your passport bit!!!

I truly believe that to be emigrate successfully you must integrate and not compare. Your favorite juice is most likely NOT here (this in relation to a report by a British couple in the paper last year that returned to the Uk as the final straw was they could not get their daughters favorite juice, her daughter was apparently 21!!!!)
