londonengineer
I'll be applying for a 820 in a couple of months and I'm a bit confused about when to submit the medical and police check. I've had advice from a visa agent not to include this at the time of application as they expire after 12 months and it make take longer than this to reach a case office. BUT the Partner migration handbook says that police checks and medicals SHOULD be included at the time of application. Which is correct? Has this changed recently with the 820 going online? Is there a form that you need to submit additional documentation after application? I can't find a definitive answer on this on the Immi website.. Thanks. Guest
I'd go with your agents advice and submit them when requested by your CO.
BritChickx
I included my police check but not medicals. I would have included medicals but I need this HAP number or whatever it is I think from my CO and I didn't want to go booking the wrong type of medical so i'm waiting until it's requested. Mark 1234
I just waited until my CO asked for them. If I'd had them pre-application, they would have expired.
readstogo
The info on immi website is a little out of date because it also states that their guideline processing times are 5 months....it's been a while since I've seen someone on this forum get granted that quickly! Ensure you have got the most up-to-date form too. They changed it when we were half-way through completing it and had removed a heap of questions. It was by chance that I was checking to see if I could use the updated version of adobe where I could fill the form in online and then print to sign.
