We arrived in Australia from the UK in Feb 2011 on a 457 and were lucky enough to get PR granted in July 2011. WOOOHOOOO ! We had a baby here last year who is an Australian Citizen by birth and has an Australian Passport and I wonder if this somehow enables us to apply for Citizenship as parents ? Afraid not. Having an Australian child won't help. Assuming you haven't left the country since you arrived, and as others have said, you can apply in February 2015.
