Course not what was advised

Is there a trading standards in Australia that I can contact for advice? I signed up for an online course and now a couple of weeks in I am finding out it is not at all what I was led to believe. It had a 5 day cooling off period and then you are supposed to pay in full but I didnt even receive the text books within 5 days. I have heard bad things from so many other people doing it and seemingly it is almost impossible to get the placement for 120 hours which is part of the course.

Thanks for that will take a look. It was for a Healthcare Services Assistant. I wanted to do a course where I could work in a hospital like an Auxiliary etc, but this is more like age care which I dont want to do. Other people doing it are advising that hospitals wont give placements to people doing this course. If anyone wants to know the name of the Training Provider just PM me I wont put it on here. Am paying direct debit but am worried if I stop they will send me to a debt collector

Which state is the training provider's registered seat? In addition to consumer protection I would immediately get onto ASQA http://www.asqa.gov.au/about-asqa/about-asqa.html by telephone Monday a.m., they control quality etc. of registered training organisations RTOs
Thanks, I am going to phone the course provider tomorrow see what they say and take it from there.
