moleynsw
Sorry if this has been covered before... We're currently in the UK waiting for our 457 sponsored visa. We're looking at booking flights asap to travel around the New Year but if for any reason the 457 hasn't been finalised by then are we able to enter Australia on a temp/bridging visa and wait for the 457 visa confirmation there? Thanks
Rupert
You can't just apply for a bridging visa, you can only get a bridging visa if you were in Australia on another visa on the day you applied for your next visa. Travelling to Australia on a tourist visa to await a 457 outcome is not an appropriate use of the tourist visa. There is no visa designed for this purpose, I would reoccur mend just waiting, you don't know that it would be approved anyway.
