Bal67
Hi Guys, I wonder whether someone can help me this is my first post and we are the very early stages of our 489 Visa and heading for SA and wanted to know if for some reason we could not find work etc, how easy would it be for us to move to another state like WA for instance, does anyone have any personal experience of this and would it stop us from getting a PR in 2 years time?? At the moment hubbys job skill is not on the WA SKills List. Any information would be much appreciated. IELTS L7.0,R8.5, W7.0, S7.5 Overall 7.5 - March 2013, Vetassess submitted 19/2/2013, Approved 24/5/2013. EOI for 489 Visa Lodged 30/08/2013. Peach
I would say go careful, until you have PR there are no guarantees. The was a recent story of a family being refused their permanent visa by not meeting the conditions of their provisional visa (I think specifically for living in the wrong place).. Rupert
The 489 does have provision to move to a different state as long as you remain regional that is critical. You should do this with permission from the state. Note that all of SA is regional but this is not the case in WA so I would think SA would be slightly easier to find regional work in.
