Goldilocks Sutcliffe
It's nearing the 1 month since I arrived and I'm really struggling to find work. A few people have said to me to look for bar work, or hospitality but can anybody tell me if someone like me with no experience in these jobs has a chance in actually getting a job? I'm thinking of doing the RSA course, but if I'm not going to be able to get a job from it I'm not sure I want to waste my money. Has anyone been in a similar situation and did you get any luck finding work with little or no experience?
Quoll
You'd have a better chance of bar work at least! You might as well do the RSG too then you'd have a choice with clubs too.
Ilona Reynolds
On the topic of RSG does anyone know if having a personal licence over here gets you any exemptions over there? I think it's just wishful thinking but from what I've read the course is pretty much the same.
Petals
You have to do the licences in each State, they are not transferable.

I would think your chances of finding work would be much improved if you have the course, you might just need to invest.
Ilona Reynolds
Thanks Petals. I knew you had to do it in each state but hoped already being a licensee might get some kind of exemption from even a bit of it. Never mind. Not a problem.
