chubbs75
Hi guys We are sorting out stuff for shipping. Where can I find the list of approved disinfectants by Aus authorities. Many thanks
fifi69
If there is such a thing, then I didn't know about it. Different shippers will recommend different products. We did our own cleaning, own packing, move cube packed ourselves. No problems or extra charges whatsoever. dont make your life harder than you need to. At the end of the day you can turn up at customs wearing and carrying things a whole lot muckier than your shipping.
chubbs75
Yes there is a page I've seen but can't find it. I've got hand tools plus the vac cleaner and washing machine tumble dryer needs cleaning. Don't want to soak it in jeyes )
fifi69
Ok, we'll one of the overpriced shippers we had in to do a quote said do it in that sickly horrible floral stuff.
Alaska
Jeyes fluid seems to be popular.
chubbs75
Yes popular cause there is a myth that customs will smell it... But apparently no need for that. Wondering if dettol would do?
NicF
You don't need to disinfect anything. Just clean it with some soap and water. And you don't need to bother about your washing machine and tumble dryer at all unless you are in the habit of putting really muddy stuff in there. If your washing machine is full of mould then a bit of watered down bleach will clean it out, but that would be for your sake as Australia authorities wouldn't care. If you really feel the need to disinfect stuff then try some Milton or general household disinfectant from the hardware store.
