Guest sarahandPaul
Hi everyone we are new to this site - and hope some one can help - because our brains are seriously starting to hurt in trying to decide where to apply for state nominated visa - we have narrowed it down to either Western Australia or Victoria. Where ever we decide we have to stay for the first 2 years. Both look great but we have never been to Australia and have no family or friends there. We are applying for the visa because Paul is a bricklayer and his skill is in demand in both states. We want an out door life with lots to do and good weather, Paul is into diving I like horse riding - we are taking 2 dogs with us so places to go for long safe walks... we also like going out so - cinemas - pubs - restaurants. The priority is work for Paul - he is waiting for his Vetassess skills date at the moment - but assuming he passes we then have to apply to the state we want to move to - Can any one advise which state has the best prospects for a good bricklayer, who works hard and wants a good standard of living. Also does anyone know if both states take the same time to sort out their visa applications - or is one quicker than the other? Any advice greatly appreciated.
