SOMV
I am not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, but WA have announced a new procedure for processing sponsorship (nomination) applications from 1 July. There is more information about this on our news page, and also on the Western Australia pages. Cheers, Veronika
littlefoot
Thanks for the heads up! The change is that WA will now select EOI-lodged people from the SkillSelect pool instead of applicants applying directly. Let's hope there'll be some transparency in the time it takes for WA to issue invitations for sponsorship if that becomes a sticking point. Hopefully they'll just issue invitations straight away, and it'll allow them to be in control of who applies and spend less time assessing random invalid applications. All being well, this will just see an increase in efficiency from them.
familyof4
Does this still mean when completing the EOI you can put down the 5 points for WA sponsorship?
karmen128
Does it mean its harder to WA State Sponsor, as you need to wait them to select you, and you can't apply directly to them...
