memmymooch
Hi just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this my colleague really wants to migrate to oz her husband is a graphic designer but because he has HND not degree even with 20 years experience she was told by Australian embassy that they would not be eligible to apply for a skilled visa and that the best option was to try and get employer sponsorship. Was wondering though if his lack of 'appropriate' qualification would then be an issue if they were to apply for PR which with 2 kids they def would want to try and do asap, would he need to take skills assessment as part of process as if so surely there would be the same issue with non degree which stops him going skilled route now or is it all different if moving from 457? I have advised her to seek further clarification from migration agent but just wondered if anyone on here could offer any insight mem
Rupert
If he spent two years on the 457 then he could apply through the transition stream and not need a skills assessment. But it is a risk of course...
VERYSTORMY
Never listen to what the Embassy says or for that matter immigration I would advise speaking to a good migration agent. Go Matilda and George Lombard are highly regarded
