Tina2
Things will continue to get worse if the Government does not stop people from overseas (mainly China) coming in and buying up property. They push the price us beyond what many Aussies can afford, then rent back at over inflated prices to Aussies. The mining boom is another issue $1000 a week rent for a house that would rent for $350 if the mine was not there.
familywright
Hi. An update from us. We managed to find a little unit (3 bedroom) in camp hill for $350 a week. It is actually a small villa, like one in a retirement complex, so a bungalow rather than a high rise. There is no garden and the kitchen is not really designed to cook in but it will do us for 6 months anyway!
