Bridgeman
We have been watching a programme on UKTV, My Flatpack home, about people who building with kit homes, or flat pack homes, which seem to work out more cost effective. We looked a these years ago, but it seems they have come a long way since then, offering reasonable quality and standards. Just wondering if many people do this in Australia and if anyone has any recommendations for companies who provide quality kit homes?
calNgary
Kit homes do seem quite popular over here, often they're referred to as relocatables. Councils can be funny about allowing some of them ,it depends on the exact area you are looking at. These are the steel ones we looked at when thinking of building - http://www.sheds.com.au/catalogue/1279/steel-kit-homes.html. This is another company who i have heard good things about and they have some nice designs - http://www.valleykithomes.com.au/kit-homes-queensland Cal x
Galahad
When I used to drive regularly along Mundoolun Road, near Jimboomba Queensland, there was a large sign on a property announcing 'Kitomes' Made me smile - so Australian in its economy of description, but said everything it needed to say..... According to Google they're still around & all over Australia..... The company that is, and the omes.......
