Guest EKOK04
Hi, We arrived here late October 2007 and are currently staying in Carnegie. Have just bought our own house in Berwick , an area we are very happy with, and are confused as to the best schools. Relatives here maintian the Catholic schools provide the best education(they may be biast as they teach in Catholic schools). Could anyone please advise as I have to enroll my son ASAP. Cheers:wacko:
Quoll
The best thing to do would be to go and have a look! You can get a feel for a school just by walking in the front door. You will have to be quick though as term has just started and if you try and enrol after census (mid February) you are likely to have your options limited as schools will have had their per capita allocation. The only govt school obliged to take your child is the one in whose feeder area you reside - for any others it would be a matter of negotiating an out of area placement. Whether you choose private or govt is purely a matter of choice for you.
