Guest claire&fred
Hi Steve and Lesley We lodged on 29 Aug. Were receipted on 7 Dec. No ack as yet. Apparantly ASPC have said that all acks will be done by 15 Feb. However, they got their receipting wrong saying everyone was receipted and they were not. It is a waiting game and very stressful but hang in there I'm sure it will come soon. Claire

Guest claire&fred
Yes see recent thread 'Moved One Day' in migration issues Andy Yes, I read that thread. I don't think that is really what we should be going by with regard to dates. Seems that people lodging their apps both before and after us have had ack already. Guest wardy
I dont mean this in a bad way but august applicants must be so fed up with the way things have worked out especially with the September changes and how fast things are going through now. Did no one advise you to hang on til September or are you all going it alone. best wishes
Guest claire&fred
We wanted to get our app in before September because of all the changes. Can't remember exactly why. I think it was to do with OH not having proper qualifications (on the job training and years experience instead) so he would have to have had an assessment. It is a bummer but just one of those things. We will get there in the end. Might even have our Visa before you Wardy! ONLY JOKING. Still waiting? Guest AndyJo&Lewis
We are going it alone, but I didn't see anything on the DIMA website to advise us otherwise. Tough luck I guess. :skeptical:

Did no one advise you to hang on til September or are you all going it alone. best wishes We were advised because of the changes on the 1st September to get it before hand because the points were changing for the english passport holders and wouldn't get the full points, otherwise do the english test. Also we had an age problem on our side. KP Nuts

Guest claire&fred
We have not even done our meds yet. Agent has asked us to wait until we get FRN. Police checks were done end of last year. I see that an August applicant on BritishExpats has had their Visa granted! I wonder if at last things are starting to speed up? Creme Eggs are the best thing. I just love them. I bit off the top, lick all the egg bit out and shove the rest in. I have not had one today yet. At work, have got one in my bag to have after lunch though. Claire Ha Ha, thats how I would eat one too:jiggy: I did hear about the Expat August person. hopefully things should start moving soon. My Sister 'Angelcake' sent hers 7 days before me and has just received CO. Mind you she did not get recipeted and I have not had full acknowledgement. There seems no rhyme or reason to this. I have booked my medicals out of frustration really. Will move back nearer the time if I have still not had case number... but I am feeling positive.........:notworthy:
RVN
Hi guys... we sent our visa for perm. residency in NSW (sydney region) under skilled migrant at the end of Aug 07. Our agent advised us to do so as the cost was going to increase by quite a bit and the rules were going to change. So we sent off all our bits and pieces plus cheque for large amount of our savings off to our agent in oz (agent recommended by a friend) and despite being in regular contact with our agent..NOTHING.. :realmad:not even been acknowledged. So I am presuming our envelope has not even been opened yet???? I just do not know what to think...some people have said 6-9 months, others longer.. Not sure when we should get our meds or police checks done as I don't want to get my hopes up. Does anyone know if we are likely to hear something soon...only Im begining to think its going to be months and months and months, am its begining to get us all really down.. By the way my OH is a mechanic therefore is on the most wanted list....

Guest AndyJo&Lewis
Hi all, If you havn't been receipted, whether you have been acknowleded or not, could be due to the fact that when you filled in your application form, you authorised them to contact you by email. I 'believe' that if you don't authorise them, you get notification of receipting when you are acknowledged. Remember reading something on the DIMA website some time ago, hope this makes sense to someone else. Andy
noel2538
Hi All Our application was received on 27th August 2007, we've had nothing at all, no receipt-sent Bank Draft- and no acknowledgement:arghh: Agent contacted Immi, been told our Application is not even on system but as we've got confirmation from DHL that they received it- said dont worry-DONT WORRY ha ha:biglaugh: Ive seen on here that people with application received after ours have got some sort of acknowledgement, so Im keeping my fingers, toes and eyse corssed and trying to be very patient lol Deb
Guest BigLes
I'm in same boat as KP Nuts - because of the points being tight with age and not wanting to bother with the language test to compensate - submitted before end of September. Couldn't submit long before that because my occupation only appeared back on the MODL list in June anyway!!! Is frustrating that September online applications seem to breeze through - but I think my acknowledgement should be any day now - fingers crossed. I think they have almost caught up with the August rush now.
Guest CosWeCan
Migration ‘Expert’ told us get PC done, send off Application all together as rules changing 1st Sept. So we did. DIAC rec'd them 30th Aug 07. Saw on DIAC web site all applications rec'd prior to 1st Sept 07 now receipted etc....not mine though...panicked sent email…no response. Then received email 2 days ago saying invalid application, as missing pages 1-7 of application. Now I know I sent them and Migration ‘Expert’ allegedly checked all docs before lodging. So panicked even more. Luckily I copied everything so I could scan and send via email. As if moving with young family not stressfull enough, I just read on a blog somewhere that VISA granted from date of police checks. Is that true? Looking to rent out UK house, so no worries about selling, but if time scale tight between VISA being granted and getting out there, stuff needs to be sorted:arghh: Not had meds done yet!!! Should I get them done? Also been looking at advice on Brisbane suburbs...still non the wiser. Veiwed chats on this site, vivsted OurBrisbane.com. We want good school for boy who will be 6 by the time we arrive - dont mind paying, part of reason for moving in any case, reasonably close to CBD, as guess thats where I will end up working, not to far from beach, good local amenities, and not to quiet. Maybe pushing 40 but young at heart. CosWeCan...well I sure hope we can:wacko:
