Applying for Nursing Jobs in WA points to consider for your application:

I've taken these points from the applicants package that is part of the attachements when you apply on line for a job. I haven't included everything just those points which may be most relevent.

1. Read all the information provided on line and consider the selection criteria and the job description. (there will be a number of attachements)

There will be a contact person identified on the advert with phone and email numbers.

2. You have to provide sufficient information for your suitability against the work related requirements (selection criteria).

Your CV is important and used by the selection panel for short lisiting. It needs to include details relating to the work related requirements and describe your work, key responsibilities, tasks, results and achievements.

It is up to you to provide information that clearly informs the panel of your competitive suitability for the position.

3. It's important to determine from the advert if you are required to address the selection criteria in a separate statement or if you are only required to provide a cover letter and resume or CV. (most if not all require this and this is where UK applicants fall down).

Your selection criteria statement should demonstrate by examples your competitive ability to meet the work related requirements. (The key word in the selection criteria will be 'demonstrate' - write the heading and write a couple of paragraphs for each criteria give example(s) of what you did, what the outcome was etc.).

Failure to competitvely satisfy the work related requirements will exclude you from further consideration.

4. Apply for the job.
