ali
For those thinking about bringing a cat to WA it's something to consider. The first stage of the Cat Act comes into effect on Thursday and cat owners will have 2 months to have their cat sterilised, micro-chipped and registeres. Full implementation is in November 2012. The act states after a cat reaches 6 months of age it must be sterilised or the owner can be fined $5,000, and also a fine of $5,000 if in a public place without a registration tag.
