Tazzamaraz
I'm considering a shared container as I think I have too much for a Move Cube but definitely not enough for a 20ft container (small two bedroom flat and probably not taking white goods and sofa). I've looked on here and can only see negative comments about shared containers. Anybody had any good experiences and with which company? Thanks

RockDr
I did a shared load, what can I say, it did make it here... eventually... several months later... mostly in one piece (had one photo frame broken, mainly because the packers in Switzerland were useless and didn't seem to comprehend that the stuff would be going by sea after it made it to the UK). The delivery guys this end were great though. Having done this through a big company, I would actually say, go with a company that specialises in smaller loads, rather than one of the big movers who mostly do full containers. Sevenseas might be a go, even if you need slightly more than a movecube, since the remainder would be a small load, which they are used to dealing with, and hence get lots of small loads and so not much wait for the container to fill. Or you could get a movecube sent by sea, and get some other boxes sent by air with someone like excess-baggage, so that you have some of your stuff quicker. Lots of possibilities, call up the companies and see what they suggest.
Guest GeorgeD
I used a shared container. I had around 100 cu ft of goods to send over. I went with Anglo Pacific. They were really good. No damage, no breakages, it landed in Oz about 8 weeks after I sent it, but Christmas and Customs Clearance meant it was another few weeks before I got it. nothing to do with Anglo Pacific. I had no dramas at all. I think it only cost something like GBP700 or so (plus clearance fees in Oz)
klm081
Hi! I'm in the same position! I recently had a gentleman come to give me a quote from Doree Bonner about a shared container. Worth giving them a try

Guest Cassjam
We did a shared container - I presume it is on the way there since have not heard from the shippers and I am constantly the one chasing them. Time back again we would do a) sole container and b) a different company.
