Guest Danielle26
Hi I am new to the forum it has taken me a while to get round how it works! I from the UK (yorkshire) and here with my partner and some friends. Me and My Partner are currently working, He's a bricky and i working in a mental health rehab as Im a UK qualified social worker. We are both looking for sponsorships, but think the time is paasing so quickly that we will need to get our regional done. My partner is also 31 in May 2013, so if we did our regional in Jan 2013 this should give us enough time to do our second year and either look for sponsorships or apply for PR. Does anyone know any decent farm work contacts, as we where looking at doing a Farm Course in QLD, although we are in Perth at the min and the course costs 1000 dollars each, but you get a secure job after the 5 days training. We are willing to fly anywher for job just need a definate start early next year. Would appreciate any info, Thanks, Danielle.

BritChickx
Do you mean jillaro/jackaroo courses? http://www.jjoz.com.au/ http://www.travelworks.co.uk/australia/cowboy-training.html http://www.leconfieldjackaroo.com/ Just a few ive seen through google, just make sure they can definately gaurantee you work afterwards! If not, these job sites for farm/2nd year work may be helpful. my boyfriend used www.taw.com.au a lot when we were there, you have to pay a fee but it is definately worth it. Also check out goworkabout.com.au, primarypositions.com.au, gumtree.com.au and and the govt website for jobs, also check out the harvest trail on there it'll tell you what jobs there is where and at what time of year . Defo get your 2nd year work sorted then you can focus on sponsorship. Don't forget to have some fun and travels tho! Good luck Edited October 14, 2012 by BritChickx
