Im here with my 3 children, i have been so lucky, i found perm house after 1 day and a car, start work in 10 days. Cant believe how hot it is, good tho compared to UK weather. (although the crazy season is coming up, I hope we survive! lol). We live in Palmerston (work in Winnellie). Doing lots of research online on areas in Darwin. We'll be working in the Royal Darwin Hospital so will aim to be fairly close by at least initially. Love to hear how you are getting on.
