hamishcross
just need an idea if its enough to live onwe will be in or around maffra/sale or by the coast Many of the forums seem to say dividing / multiply by 2.2 to work out in £££s or AUD the cost of living equivalent. So using this rule $89300 would be £40590. It looks like you can rent a house for about $300/week down there, so then the rest would just require a careful budget. I'm sure people live on less in Australia, but it all depends on the quality of lifestyle you want to lead. Good luck with the decision, it won't be easy. AJ
Its fine. We managed on $65000 before, and that was with a baby. We werent extravagant, obviously didnt go out much having a baby but lived good and even managed to save a little bit.
