NAATI Para-professional test (5 points)

Hi guys,

 

Have anyone done para-professional NAATI test? is it difficult? I've been at their office in Melbourne yesterday and the test sounded not that difficult and worth the investment. Any advice

i have the same question. I need 5 more points to get the 60mark.

I looks that doing the paraprofessional Translator test is manageable and gives 5 points. Unfortunately the test only can be taken in Oz.

Has anybody done this test? Does it need extensive preparation?

any input is appreciated. .

It's a very expensive way to get the 5 points. I thought there was exams twice a year in other locations. Which visa are you looking at, could you boost your points by IELTS or state nomination.

Hey guys,

 

I don't recommend you doing this test if you are not a professional translator. I only got 14/100!!!, though they told you can register even if you are not a translator. I have also two friends who got 4/100 and 5/100!! That's English/Arabic test anyway, I'm not sure about other languages.

 

I studied another semester in Australia to achieve the 60 points, and I'm planning to update my EOI next month.
