Hi Rupert, Does it count as a skilled employment? I have 4.5 years full-time on-site overseas work experience. Once I moved to Australia two years ago, I continued working with the same overseas company in reviewing technical reports for a year. If it doesn't count, I will loose 5 points and drop to a total of 55 points. Cheers,

Thanks for the reply. Workers don't pay tax in UAE, that's why I don't have an evidence of end of year tax. All I have is an employment contract and bank transfer receipts. In fact, I have the bank transfer receipts for the last year only when UAE regulated that all companies should pay their workers through banks. I thought as long as VETASSESS is happy with it, the case officer won't look at it. Is this true? Cheers, Fadi

Thanks blossom. No I don't have actual payslips. I have an employment contract and bank transfer receipts. This is according to UAE working regulations. From the bank transfer receipts you can see how much the company transfers each month (which matches the salary highlighted in the employment contract). Cheers, Fadi

Hi All, Does DIAC accept online experience? When I lodged my EOI, I have counted online experience (about 7 months). When I moved to Australia two years ago to complete my postgraduate study I kept working with my company online (reports review) for about 7 months. Do you think DIAC accepts that? Hi All, I want to apply for SA State Nomination, but don't know whether they require a job offer from SA. It seems to be they don't, but I thought it is better to check with you guys. The reason also being I had a bad experience with WA last year. Hi All, I realised yesterday that South Australia has made significant changes to their nomination criteria; it turns out I am eligible right now. I have 60 points at the moment. I was thinking rather than waiting for a couple of invitation rounds to get an invitation for the 189, I'll go for SA State Nomination. However, there is only one thing! It seems like SA requires me to update the my EOI to do the following: 1) highlight only "SA nomination only" rather than "All States"; and 2) highlight only the relevant visas (in my case 190 only). Please see the below screenshot from their website https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/faq If this is true, here are my concerns: I may loose a chance to be invited for 189. I was thinking yesterday to apply for SA State Nomination and keep the 189 in my EOI. In this case I can work on the two visas in parallel. I thought while SA processes my nomination application, I might get an invitation for 189. If I won't get an invitation for 189 at least I would have been started the nomination application. However, it appears to be that I have to choose only one path:err:. Please help! Cheers, Fadi

Hey guys, I don't recommend you doing this test if you are not a professional translator. I only got 14/100!!!, though they told you can register even if you are not a translator. I have also two friends who got 4/100 and 5/100!! That's English/Arabic test anyway, I'm not sure about other languages. I studied another semester in Australia to achieve the 60 points, and I'm planning to update my EOI next month. Cheers, Fadi

Hi Guys, I booked an exam on 01/12/12 in Melbourne. I do have the self-discipline to practice properly. That is why if someone interested we can form a group where we can practice ( 3 to 2 times a week).
