Hi all,

I have applied for SA state sponsorship under 190 VISA two weeks ago(System Administrator). At that time IELTS requirement was 6 for each modules.

My Result for IELTS as below and I was happy till today.

L : 6

R : 6.5

W:6

S :8

Now when I look the SA site today, I saw some changes and IELTS requirement for my nominated occupation( System Adminstrator) has changed to 6.5 for each module now. I am so disappointed now:arghh:

Will they access my application, according requirement had when I was applying two weeks ago or according latest requirement on SA site now:wacko:

Please advice

I applied on 2nd July and Document Received on 9th July. Still did not get any answer from SA and now they are changing IELTS requirement. If they choose me by Current IELTS requirements then I will not get SA SS as I have a 6 in writing :((. Does anybody know whether they choose by old IELTS requirement or new IELTS requirement as I applied when there was no such requirement.

I found that

Immigration SA is currently processing applications received from 2 July 2012.Please note: Immigration SA will only be able to nominate a limited number of state nomination applicants in July 2012. This is due to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) setting a limit on the number of state nominations available during the first month of 'SkillSelect'.When Immigration SA has reached the state nomination limit for July, applications will still be processed (in date order). However, approved applicants will only be nominated through SkillSelect once DIAC has allocated additional state nomination places. The standard processing time for state nomination applications is 8 weeks (this can change depending on the number of applications on hand at Immigration SA). This page is regularly updated with current processing times.

I think they will stick to old criteria but for a limited number people (as stated)

hi Saini

According to the latest update(15/07/12) on SA web site IELTS requirement is 6.5 each band now. But it was 6 for each band when I was applying 2 nd July. So we are hoping we can get through with 6 since we applied before this latest changes:rolleyes:

Who know buddy let's see there decision :daydreaming:

New update:

Applicants who submitted state nomination applications online prior to 14 July 2012 must meet the listed occupational IELTS requirement for their occupation which applied at the time of submission.

Applicants who submitted state nomination applications online from 17 July 2012 must meet any new occupational IELTS requirements. Details about these changes to the IELTS requirements can be viewed on the SNO list 2012-2013

Applicants who submitted applications on-line, on or before 13/07/2012 will need to meet the State Nomination requirement at the time of submission. If the occupational IELTS requirement for your occupation at time of your on-line submission was 6 in each band when you submitted your on-line application, this is the requirement that will be applicable to your application.

Due to the introduction of SkillSelect and the large volume of applications received at the start of the program year, the processing of South Australian nomination applications received in July may take longer than the standard 8 week processing time.

Please do not contact Immigration SA regarding the status of your application or to FAST TRACK your application. All applications that have been received are date stamped in date order of being received, registered within 2 – 3 days and placed into the processing queue in date order of being received. Once a decision is finalised on your application, you will be sent an e-mail notifying you that a decision has been made.
