yorkcath
HI, I'm on a work spondered 457 visa for a nursing position and wondered how easy it was to change sponsers. Does your new employer just apply to take over your visa? If so how much does it cost? Many thanks, Cath
calNgary
Hi Cath Im not sure about costs involved but we have a few members who have done this and it seems quite straight forwards.. Hopefully one of them will see your post soon and give you an idea of fee's etc.. Cal x
Raul Senise
HI, I'm on a work spondered 457 visa for a nursing position and wondered how easy it was to change sponsers. Does your new employer just apply to take over your visa? If so how much does it cost? Many thanks, Cath The new employer needs to be an Approved Temporary Business Sponsor. If they are not they will need to apply to become one. The new employer lodges a 457 nomination application for the position to be filled and nominates you for the position. Once the nomination application is approved, you can commence work with the new employer. Your 457 visa will remain valid for the original validity period of the visa.
