You live in a Zoo (literally)

 

A full time job for you AND your travelling companion! – Problem solved!

 

Our family – Mum, dad, 2.5years old girl and baby brother just arrived.

 

We need someone to help with variety of household duties and care for the family. Mum and Dad work on site in a conservation centre which is situated inside a zoo near Melbourne.

 

What we need you to do:

• Some care for our children (mostly 2.5year old – mum will be busy with newborn)

• Some education for our daughter – walks in the zoo, games etc.

• Some housekeeping, organising and general household assistance – to allow mum to enjoy the new baby.

• Shared cooking of meals etc.

• Driving of daughter to childcare or household errands etc.

 

We are offering the following:

• Accommodation with own room and ensuite. (share with your travel partner)

• Car for personal use – old but reliable station wagon – perfect for a few days away camping on your time off. (you will use the family car for work related trips)

• All meals, food supplies, and bills paid for.

• TV, Internet access and some phone access.

• Full time work for your companion – helping as a general hand in the business (insect farming).

• Some opportunity for you to gain additional paid work in the business when not occupied in the above role. This may be administrative, clerical, animal care or labouring depending on your skills/aptitude.

• You will get 2 days off per week to do as you please – take the car and see Victoria. Some longer breaks may be negotiated by working more days on some weeks.

• Wages will be negotiated based on circumstances/experience and will be balanced to incorporate the value of the above inclusions.

 

Both of you must be:

• Happy to work as part of the team and be part of the family

• Licensed to drive in Australia with a good driving record

• Permitted to work in Australia

• Responsible, reliable and able to live in an unusual environment.

• Non-smokers.

• Able to commit for a minimum of 6 months (eg. working holiday visa).

• Without criminal convictions

• Fluent English speakers. Or - allowances may be made for native Spanish speakers with at least conversational English. We are a bilingual family.

 

Au pair must be:

• Good with children

• Capable of performing household work and organising

• Experienced with at least home cooking (we will be happy to share your country’s cuisine)

• A safe experienced reliable driver.

 

Companion must:

• Be fit, adaptable and capable of working indoors and out in all conditions

• Have good manual and organisational skills.

• Be able to understand and follow instructions in written and spoken English.

• Experience or training and knowledge of animals and animal care would be an advantage.

• Experience or training and knowledge of a trade or trades would be an advantage.

 

 

Location: Mornington Peninsula –near Melbourne

Commencing: Immediately - July 2012 (your accommodation is in construction and expected to be complete around mid august but arrangements may be made to provide you with the car and accommodation in a local caravan park until you can be accommodated on site)

Might apply myself. Fit all the critera love animals even frogs are fine. Not so hot on kiddies though. Do you think it will matter?

Can't be a lot of meat on them though. :embarrassed:

 

Seriously, saw a doco once about and 'Insect Farmer' in the states, really interesting work and had some long time clients.:yes:
