Shipping Booked for July 6th :)

We have confirmed and paid for our shipping to Sydney, 565Cuft for £2250 with White and Co

Also booked the insurance for £20,000 worth of cover £296 with Letton Percival

 

They come and pack our container on July the 6th. We are just about to move out or house in the next two weeks.......things are starting to become scary.

Congrats, on booking your removals, its going to fly. Were looking to send furniture around August 1st, we had our 1st removal quote yesterday, and your insurance is much better than our quote. Will have to have a look at letton Percival, is the price also contain the extra IPT?? we were quoted 2.5% plus IPT. Thanks Shelly

I found the whole getting quotes for shipping a bit weird. Must admit though didnt get one from White & co. I had" yes it will go in a 20ft container" to "you need a 40ft". That was on the same day and honestly it was all the same stuff. Diff in price has been a real eye opener. Same house, same contents yet a £4,000 price diff.

Got plenty of good tips though. Still cant decide what im taking, so am now reasearching other options just in case

Excellent! All feels real when the big stuff is done ehh?! We are booked to have the shippers in on the 2nd July, although we don't fly out till the 4th September - 94 days from now where are you moving from and too? We are leaving Glasgow, bound for Brisbane! So excited xxx

we were quoted 2.5% plus IPT

 

Hi Shelly yes that includes IPT.

Basically the insurance breaks down as £20,000 @ 1.40% = £280 plus £16.80 IPT = £296.80
