Ceelin
Hi everyone, I recently lodged for Regional Sponsorship to Western Australia (visa 475). Included were details of settlement and employment. Well I received a response yesterday. Perhaps the cost of living info I had stated was more accurate for Perth rather than the other regions because I was requested to resubmit details for the cost of living specific to the Peel region (one of my selected settlement regions). I've had no luck finding any current information online so if there is anyone living in this region, any feedback possible on the cost of living (sharing basis as I am single) would be much appreciated. Accommodation + Utilities + Food + Transportation + Recreational + Insurance (Temporary working visa) Thank you
VERYSTORMY
Room in a shared house $135 a week Utilities. Same as Perth as same company Transport. About the same as Perth for fuel. I spend about $40 a week gumming about the area. If you are traveling to Perth by public transport then about $13 a day assuming a bus ride to the train station and train. Recreation. Depends a lot on what you like to do. Fishing is popular so bait is about $10 a week, long walks around the estuary are free, pubs slightly cheaper than Perth. Cinema about $12 for a movie, beach free. Peel sports and recreation chafes about $250 a year plus say $20 a week for bit and pieces Insurance. I assume you mean medical. Varies on cover. I resubmitted the WA SS application on the 7th May and got a favourable response and offer of WA SS on the 11th May'12.

If so, there should be jobs available or vacancies closely related to your skill set.
