Goochie
We've opened a CommonWealth Bank account which we'll be activating upon arrival in Perth. However, at the time we do it we may well be staying in holiday accomodation and have no rental agreement or utility bills to provide proof of address. Do the banks require proof before handing over your cards and allowing access to your money?
scuffythetugboat
We opened a Westpac account in London prior to coming out. We stayed with a relative when we got here. All we had to do was show the letter they sent us and our passports as ID at our nominated branch and the account was activated.
