  1. PLEASE HELP. I would appreciate any advice! I am a junior doctor looking to go to Aus later this year on a work visa. This would typically be no issue I think it is usually the temporary skills shortage visa 482 we get? (although I could be wrong). The problem is I have Primary Lymphandema which is a physical disability causing swelling of the arms and legs. This wasn't a result of cancer and I don't have any other health conditions. It is well controlled at the moment I don't have much medical input I just wear compression stockings daily which the NHS currently provides and I have a 2x yearly review with a specialist nurse who checks the stockings fit well. I don't know the actual cost of this service but I imagine it would be a couple thousand pounds a year for stockings and review. On researching visas I am now really worried I wont be able to get a work visa due to physical disability as it seems Aus is quite strict on this? I currently also claim PIP around £100/month it is the lowest amount you can qualify for. My questions are: 1. How likely is it that I will get a visa? From my research it seems the issue is mainly when applying for permanent residence which I am not interested in, am I right? 2. What are my options to improve my chances? Should I stop claiming PIP (I don't really need the money and I would be so upset if this was the reason I didn't get a visa) 3. I know there is options for health waivers for some visas, I wonder if I need this or weather my disability wouldn't be seen as this severe? I would be really grateful for any advice/support from anyone who has been through similar.
