Hi all. The waiting is already killing me. While coming to Australia in 457 visa I had done RPL on cook and had done the skill assessment as well through that RPL. I got the visa. Now when I applied 186 visa the CO is asking me how was I able to make RPL before entering to Australia. I am shocked by that kind of question. I tried to contact the institute where I got the RPL, but seems like the institute is already closed. Have any of us in that kind of situation? What can be done in this situation? Thanks.

My agent asked for new police check around november 2020 because my last police check was expired. But when I checked in my immi account couple of days ago, the last updated date seems to be around may 2020 which was for my health check up. I asked my agent was the new police check submitted to immi, they say yes. I mentioned them last updated date hasnt changed when i checked my immi account. They advised me not to login because immigration checks the login status as well and my application may have problem. Shouldn't last updated date change when they submit my new police check? Is it true immi checks my logins and my application might have issue? Thanks.

I got my nomination approved last week But the visa status on immi account is still "Received".

How long does it take them to finalise visa after they approve the nomination. Visa and nomination were applied at the same time?

I think the current processing timeframe is 14 to 17 months.

4 months ago, In my case my agent asked for the new police certificate from my country. I asked them if it was asked by immi, they said no, my last one was expired so to keep in the system, just in case.

Hi everyone. This waiting is killing me. I applied for my 457 on january 2017 as a cook. Later on they changed the 457 visa to 482 visa. They gave me 457 visa on january 2018 because i had applied before 19 january 2017 but got the visa only for 2 years. After they said The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed that it will accept applications for Permanent Residency (PR) under the Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme visa from 457 or 482 TSS visa holders after 23 months in their nominated occupation/position, as opposed to the previous 24 month period. This concession is only available to ‘grandfathered’ PR applicants who held or had applied for a 457 visa as at 18 April 2017. I applied for 186 TRT stream on January 2020. Another guy also applied for 186 visa from my workplace after 8 months of my application as a chef. 1 month ago Immigration asked business documents for 2 people "me and the other guy". 1 month ago immigration asked for furthur documents with the other guy only. After submitting documents he got PR but, I am still waiting. Anybody gone through similar case??. What to do in that case?? Please reply.
