I don't think agents will even allow it? Is it legal? They did allow my sister in law to inspect on our behalf though. Maybe I'm too trusting. I bought a car in quazza that a mechanic mate had inspected for me. I've never even driven that model before.

Hi, We're still in quazza at the Grand Chancellor. We'd applied for a property a few months back from Ireland but missed out on it. We've been keeping an eye out since but not much is coming up that's ticking our boxes. We're looking in Ashgrove/Newmarket area. What's the go generally? Is the interstate migration from down south having an impact? TIA

Congratulations. I wonder would mine have been processed regardless of me contacting DFAT. Mine was issued from Berlin even though I contacted London. It happened the very next day though, so too much of a coincidence.- 3,663 replies

We might have used my wife's parent's address, but we were out of catchment regardless. She did all of the legwork on this particular item!- 3,663 replies

I'm not a MARA, and my experience is only my own but I can't see them reviewing a straightforward and presumably low risk (you're been together 12+ years and have a family together) to that level of detail.- 3,663 replies

To answer the above question, I don't recall ever being asked to prove citizenship of the kids. I did upload their birth certs and their mum is Australian, so I suppose it is implied. I got my 309/100 double grant last week. My visa was issued from Berlin, even though I expected it to come from London. I contacted DFAT to ask for priority as I am travelling in December to relocate in time for eldest child starting school in January. My child has a place already in school and my employer were willing to relocate me also. I applied in February 2020 with all my police checks but due to Covid I only got my medical in July. We've been together since 2009, cohabiting since 2010, relocated to Ireland together 2011, engaged 2012, bought a house 2013, married 2014, first child 2015, second child 2018. I lived in Aus for 3 years from 2008 to 2011 initially on a 417 WHV visa then after 6 months a 457 visa.- 3,663 replies

I only just read this properly now. It's specifically the 309 class that ground to a halt after Covid. I'm awaiting a 309 visa but hoping that I will be granted a 100 class at the same time. Those numbers are so low!- 3,663 replies

My AFP police check will be 12 months old this month. I haven't lived in Australia since 2011. Does this need to be updated?- 3,663 replies

They're not reviewing partner visas? Or they are reviewing them very slowly? I was approved for a 600 visa and an exemption to enter last week. I now have the prospect of applying for a leave of absence from my employer and going to Australia for 3 months. I was kind of hoping my partner visa would come through before those three months are up. We plan to travel after Christmas.- 3,663 replies

Thanks! I hadn't realised there was an electronic form for the sponsor. I submitted in February and we finalised all of our documents last month. Hopefully this hasn't delayed us too much!- 3,663 replies
