  1. Thank you! I'm pretty sure it was the UK since we applied from London but our migration agents are based in Brisbane so cannot say for sure.
  2. Hi all, Just thought I would post my timeline so hopefully it can be of some use for people. I am a UK citizen applied for our 309/100 visa with my Australian partner (been together 4 years, living together 3.5 years) on the 10th Feb this year from London. We went through a migration agent called Emergico, and uploaded everything straight away such as police checks etc. We received an email on the 5th March that we had been assigned a case officer and asked us to send through my medical, which was sent through on the 20th March. After that we didn't hear anything up until last night when I got an email to say I have been granted my 309 visa! Our migration agent mentioned that if it wasn't because of COVID our application would have been one of the quickest to have been processed that they have ever had. I'm super delighted and realise how lucky we are as it only took 9 and a bit months to be accepted. I do believe that they are increasing the amount of partner visas being approved and soon they should be able to get through the backlog of applications. I hope you all start getting good news emails through soon! Keep positive and know that it will all be worth it in the end x
  3. I got an email from my migration agent. Basically what is happening is that they are prioritising onshore visa applications because a lot of people with their current visas, keeping them in Australia, will be expiring soon. They are still open and they are still working as normal but offshore applications are being slightly delayed due to their focus being on onshore applicants. Hopefully it should pick up soon, but in the meantime I guess we just have to be patient. We will get there, it's just a difficult time and not knowing where you stand is hard. Stay strong everyone.
  4. I don't know if anyone else has heard anything in regards to the visa's in the current global situation but I got an email this morning from my agent saying that because the majority of visa's for Australia are long term plans, they are processing them as normal, but they are experiencing very high demand - I'm not sure if this will slow down some people's applications. Keep the faith everyone, we'll get there in the end.
  5. Hi everyone, I have been following this for a while and I thought I would add my own little bit in. My partner and I have been together for 3 1/2 years, not married and no kids but have lived together since 2017. We moved to London together after I lived with him in Australia. We applied for our 309/100 visa through a migration agent on the 10th Feb 2020 and we have just received an email from them to say that they are already looking into our visa and have prompted us to get our medicals done. It's been 3 1/2 weeks! I will update once we have submitted but i'm hoping that it's not going to be long. I understand from the different posts that some applications are left for months before being picked up by a case officer so we count ourselves incredibly lucky! Good luck to everyone on their journey. x
