You may wish to call the council and check if your name is on the list for the upcoming ceremony. May I know when did you receive your email for the Test invite.
VIC has picked up Feb '20 applications for the Test Invites. One guy (Applied 9th Feb) has just updated in Immi Tracker. I guess they pick the applications State Wise.
This is really strange. NSW being the highest in applicants, is already clearing Sep/Oct '19 test invitations. I was hoping that QLD should be much ahead of other states (except VIC). Lets hope and see what they respond to your FOI. Gold Coast and Brisbane are now sending Jan '20 invitations. I see not much difference for Sunshine Coast though.
You got to wait for the Approval which may take few hours or sometimes few days/weeks/months. Once you get the approval you basically got to wait for the Invitation Letter for the Ceremony, which you'll receive through AUS Post. Which Council did you apply from?
Brisbane already hit Jan 2020. Just found that two of the people, who applied in mid of Jan '20 already got the invite for the test/interview. Keeping fingers crossed
Just saw in the other forum that a guy who applied in Jan 2020 (mid Jan) got the invitation for test. He's from QLD (Logan). Guess things are speeding up.
Hi Guys,
Need some suggestion. Is it required to upload the Consent Letter of the Mother of the Kid, who's under 16, if I've included him with my application and she isn't applying for the Citizenship? If yes, is there any specific format?
Thanks
Yes, the newborn would be Aus Citizen by birth. But in case you need Passport for the baby, you got to first apply for the Proof of Citizenship and once you get the Citizenship document, you can apply Passport for the baby. This is what we did in our case.
Hi All,
My timeline is as follows. I've applied with my son (under 16 years)
Date applied/Ack Rcvd: 07/02/2020
City/Council: Brisbane
Online / Paper: Online
Citizenship Test: Awaiting
Anyone who has applied in 2020 here yet?
