  1. Hi Greg, I received the invitation on 2nd Nov for the Ceremony on 6th Nov. Yes, it was through an email. I also know of about 4 or 5 other guys who had their VC on 6th all from the Brisbane council. Hope you receive it too. All the very best. Kris
  2. It can take from a week to 2 weeks. Either way, approval letter is just a formality and is of not much use
  3. Keep checking your online immi account. It can go from few minutes to few years based on the application.
  4. Our citizenship journey finally came to a sweet end. Just finished my online virtual ceremony (with my son). So, happy to get the opportunity to attend the virtual ceremony and become the citizens. It was a long journey. I wish the best for all of you. Just hang in there and you'll reach the destination.

  6. In my experience, it's always for the best to wait for few days after the exact date of eligibility, to apply for the citizenship. I've seen numerous cases where people have just rushed in, applied on the day or the next when they were eligible and got cancelled after paying the money, because the calculation was either wrong or due to some other issues. I personally waited for 3 weeks before I can apply, but suggest, atleast a week, to be in the safe side. Your husband can apply for all of you in his Immi Account. You and your husband will have two different applications and either of you can include your 2 yo in your application.
  7. Thank you. Am sure you'll be getting soon enough. All the very best.
  8. Hi Guys, finally received the Golden email today for the Virtual Citizenship Ceremony. Would like to know if we should explicitly reply to the email confirming that I'm okay with the given date/times and am willing to attend the VCC.
  9. Its mostly through the post but in some cases, by email as well.
  10. It took me around 13 days. Anyway its not that useful piece of paper once you know its approved
  11. Now-a-days due to covid, they aren't asking for or checking any original documents except the ID card (Passport/drivers license) at the test/interview. Atleast this is what has been the case for me and for many others I've known.
  12. Currently March/April '20 applications are getting processed.
