So two hours after sending them the document they requesting (birth certificate with parents names on)I’m still here almost 4 weeks later. Is there anything we can do?!?

Very much so. Admittedly it was a genuine mistake as I thought both parts of the kids birth certificates were uploaded. Sadly one wasn’t and it was sent within two hours! But I get your point!

We have progress. My application has gone from received to “further assessment”. It’s nice to know it’s been looked at. They have requested another version of my daughters birth certificate with biological parent names on it - the wife and I. That was sent over this morning. I hope I don’t go to the bottom of the pile! Also if they find something they need to check further do they stop the application or do they carry on and check it all?! I’m hoping the later!

I meant as in a simple phone call or request. They only need to check maybe a certificate number and it will be logged on a computer somewhere in the UK

This is what makes me so annoyed. Do they have to stick with a certain amount per day? I get it if some of the documents come from countries where they may not be logged digitally and further checks must be made. All documents from the UK would be logged on a computer which they should have access to which should make the process very easy for them.

The website has been updated for 189 visas……. 90% of the visas are processed in 8 Months. damn!

Yeah it's been 4 years in the making - mainly thanks for Covid and then all our assessments running out of time and becoming invalid!

51 Days since we did the application form, 22 days since they received the medicals (!) Still feels ages.. and yes I still login every day to check.

We are still waiting for someone to look at our application - it still just says received! :-(

I went on Google Photos which ive used for years and years to track all my dates over the last ten years. This was one of the hardest things on the EOI, and then to do it again for my wife! Im sure the addresses wasnt all the way to birth and Im sure year will do?

On your immipage does it say received or processing (or something similar)?

When we applied in May it instantly asked us to book our health checks. Does that mean my processing time stopped straight away until we submitted the health checks in late May?

Thats put me at ease now. I read somewhere they can just decline straight away. I was also worried id go to the back of the queue!

Would it be an instant decline or would it simply be - scan this in better etc etc?

Glad to hear...... I've got everything crossed - and now kid of wish that I did go through an agent but everything seems correct on the form and I wouldn't say im a stupid guy!

Is it bad I'm logging into my ImmiAccount every day just to check?! I'm also now paranoid we have done something wrong. ( We haven't used an Agent!) however I'm sure we have done everything correctly.

Prefer the stinger to be honest as it's so rare over here. I know the police use them over there so maybe not that rare when I get there. I was at a meet yesterday up in the lake district with 10 other owners and they have all made a profit out of their cars if they were to sell today.

Cheaper to run - servicing every year or 12000 miles compared to every 6 months or 6000 miles. Do you know what would happen with the warranty?

They are offering incentives in the pool, however you have to work where they put you. Most cases this is hours and hours away from Perth. If I were younger id be interested in this however im coming up to 40 and want to be near the city. I'm sure it'll be pretty quick to find a teaching role, however, if not I can do cover work.

We're both teachers and it sounds like WA is in desperate need of teachers. Admittedly we have put all the costs on a credit card and will pay off later once over there with the extra income!
