    Looks like it’s pot luck! What’s another $150 on top of $50,009+ Sidenote can you deposit this money from another bank other than CommBank? Or do I need to put the money in a CommBank first? I was heading in tomorrow but now realised I may have to transfer tomorrow and do it Monday, which is also day 14 eek!

    Right! That’s another person then! I also have an account with CommBank and am depositing the funds into their first, will double check this and hopefully avoid it! Thanks

    Also some said they didn’t pay the $150 set up fee on this thread but I was just told this is unavoidable?! Any ideas?

    II am going into the bank tomorrow to pay the AOS. Does anyone know if I then need to send any confirmation to Immigration or is this all done automatically?! The bank said they’d give me the letter the same day..yikes!

    Thank you - good to be sure before get slugged with an even bigger bill than anticipated will all be worth it to have my Mum here though rather than on her own in England!

    Assurance of support complete! Will head to the bank this week to lodge. Can anyone who applied in early 2016 and has been approved tell me what the final VAC amount was? I can’t for the life of me remember or find how much it was originally!

    All documents submitted today and health exam completed on 15/01 - still waiting to hear about AOS so I will follow up next week with Centrelink. Now the waiting game begins again!

    Yep applied for that 5/12, says online that they should be finalised by 17/01 but not holding my breath, I’ll follow up if I haven’t heard next week. Just thrilled there is finally progress. Does the AOS have to be paid as soon as it is granted or is it upon visa grant can anyone help with? Also once visa is granted, can anyone confirm how long the applicant has to enter Aus, is it 12 months? Thanks!

    Applied in Feb ‘16 for my Mum’s 143 and got asked for further docs early December! Her medical is tomorrow and just awaiting police clearance in the post then will be sending them all back. A long road!
