  1. Thanks! No nothing! Just the email saying the 309 has been approved. If I hadn’t found this lovely forum we would have been completely unawares!
  2. Thanks! Well i’ve Just checked our police checks. My Australian one was issued 3 July and my UK one was issued 5 August. But I’m the sponsor. My husband’s were processed in October, so it’s strange. My husband’s medical was in November so who knows what factor it was! Now to madly come up with plans to move in 16 weeks!! X
  3. We just got the email. Husband’s 309 has been approved - date of entry is August 2 - which has knocked us both over as we were not anticipating having to enter the country so quickly! Still processing but wanted to share for all other November applicants x
  4. OH! Congratulations! you must be so relieved/thrilled/excited! When are you planning on joining your family? We applied 6 November, so hopefully its super soon for us too! x
  5. Hi W20! I'm in the visa hell where nothing makes sense anymore, and none of the questions make sense and everything I've done is wrong I'm very happy not to do it - but it does come up as a recommended form - hence thinking it needed to be done.
  6. Hi everyone - I have a 40SP query I'm wondering if anyone can advise on (i've had a trawl though previous posts but haven't seen someone with my question - apologies if I've missed it!) I didn't complete a 40SP because like others I was confused with if it was required...I've decided it's better to be safe than sorry so I started completing the form. I'm a little bit confused with how to answer Part F, Q 51. When I moved to the UK six years ago I did so as a UK citizen. I also moved with my boyfriend at the time (Australian) who came on his own Tier 3 working visa. 2.5 years in and we applied for a partnership visa so he could continue for another 2 years in the UK, which was approved. About 3 months in, our relationship ended (long story short he robbed me and racked up £17k+ of debt which I was responsible for since I was his sponsor). I notified the UK govt/Home Office straight away that the relationship had ended, and he was then put through the process of being removed/having to leave the UK. Cut to now: the form states that it wants to know if you have sponsored a partner in migrating to Australia, of which the answer is no. Q. 51 however asks if: 'Have you lodged any other sponsorship/nomination (other than the sponsorships/nominations you have recorded in Question 18) or signed a maintenance guarantee or an Assurance of Support?' I don't know if I need to reference the UK sponsorship or not? I don't want to do the wrong thing, but I also don't know if I need to/am supposed to make a note here? It also asks for a lot of information around the sponsorship and I don't have much since the relationship ended so badly and we completely lost touch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated - anyone gone through something similar?
  7. Hi Bruce down under, We applied November 6, 2019 and we haven't heard anything yet. I'll be shouting from the rooftops the moment we hear anything! I'm hoping that since the Octobers are coming through, it must almost be November's turn?
  8. Hi Bensmithoz! We submitted our Police Checks (Me: Australia and UK, Husband: Spain and UK) at the time we lodged. I'm aware that if the visa runs past the 1 year stage I'll have to get these renewed - which is fine but I hope it doesn't take that long! We got married in August, but my surname wasn't officially changed until earlier this year (it was an overseas marriage so I had to change my name on my birth certificate with BDM before I could change my passports, et al which took MONTHS) so I had to upload my new identification documents as well as my originals. I'm not sure if I need a police check in my new name considering it's been in effect less than three months - anyone else changed their name (due to marriage) mid visa and have any advice on this? I don't know if anyone else does this, but we do what we've called a 'monthly roundup' where each month we upload additional documents while the visa is being processed, such as emails, whatsapp chats (usually about super sexy stuff like buying food at the supermarket, or where things are ), instagram posts et al, to keep it up to date but also we are getting in a routine for the next visa stage which Im assuming is a bit more on your onus to keep up with (as in not a lot of immi prompting). It also makes us feel like we aren't just sitting around waiting - except that's basically all we are doing really! x
  9. I've just realised I said that I submitted in the future! We applied 6 November 2018!! and the medical was submitted 26 November, 2018 x
  10. Hello Everyone! After doing a little bit of research prior to applying for the 309/100 this is my first foray into finding a community - so far my husband and I have been going this alone. I'm Australian (I am a dual UK citizen through my mother who was born in the UK and immigrated when she was 8 with her family) and my husband is from Spain, but we both live in London. I've been in London 6 years this July, and my husband 5.5 years this October. We did things a little bit differently to some of the posts I've read where we got almost all of our documents together first and then applied - rather than applying and then getting required documents. My husband and I have been married for 7 months - we got married in Austria because we thought that would be super romantic, until you realise just how much paperwork that entails - especially when dealing with 4 different countries (Aus/UK/Spain/Austria). We've been together for 1 year and 5 months (when you know, you know ) and haven't really been sure what impact - if any, Brexit might have on our application, or any of the election et al impact on processing times. I'm hoping these won't be major factors for any of us! A little timeline: Application Submitted: 6 November, 2019 (including all supporting documents and statements such as police checks, 888 x3, et al) Medical Check: Submitted 26 November, 2019 We haven't heard anything, or had any RFIs so I am optimistically assuming this means everything is fine - it's the not knowing which drives you mad! I haven't seen too many November submitters (special shout out to those that submitted in November 2018) but seeing the October submitters get approvals in March is making me feel nervous, impatient and hopeful that perhaps we aren't too far away from contact of some kind. Any advice from anyone for this stage of the process? (apart from patience being a virtue?) Please add me to the spreadsheet and hopefully we are the next wave to be processed! x
