Simply because I first took IELTS exam in order to apply for Bachelor at Uni, and when we first logged our visa application it was still valid but the nomination was refused. We decided to apply again for 186 but IELTS was already expired ( 1 year, 5 months) and my MA told us that I need to redo it.

Hi Laure,

Yes, the IELTS for the de facto partner who is a secondary applicant is only valid for one year. I had to redo mine.

I feel so sorry for you..

I had my nomination refused as well a year ago. I had an option to appeal (as they did not requested any additional docs to support financial ability to sponsor) or withdraw and apply again.

We chose to withdraw and reapply simply because the appeal case can last even 2 years.

Would you mind sharing the reason for the refusal?

Well, you might be right here. 

My partner's brother nomination got approved recently even though he applied a bit later than us under the same occupation. There is no software engineer left unapproved in the spreadsheet before me so I hope for some outcome in the next 2 weeks.

Our MA said that our nomination approval will take a while as we attached around 70 documents. we had a nomination refusal in May last year because they said that the company is not able to pay the salary for the next 2 years. That is why we attached as many evidence as we could and he said it might take longer.

Trying to make it as effortless as possible, but since we cannot fully yield and bow to the machine overlord, I will still implement a touch of human control needed.

Just a heads up for everyone.

I have just finished moving people in the correct tabs based on Nomination date (in case you can't find yourself in the spreadsheet).

For people who have applied before the spreadsheet was created I just left them in the tab when they applied for the visa. All of them are already finalized so it doesn't make any difference.

He's been in this industry for ages and I'm pretty sure he has wide network of connections.

We spoke to our MA today and he confirmed our suppositions that DOHA is divided into two teams now with one team processing visas from August onwards, and the second team everything before August.

travel! and it doesn't have to be expensive! 

It can be a weekend getaway in Gold Coast (take a look on Jetstar Friday Deals, tickets as cheap as $29), all day bicycle trip or just explore Melbourne:)

Personally, travelling and yoga is something that calm my mind so I can highly recommend it.

Just live like tomorrow doesn't exist.

Regarding spread sheet, I think it would be better if we submit timeline based on nomination date ,not visa application. I might be wrong but our waiting time starts once we lodge our nomination .
